How fast can you get here?

Call and we'll give you a real arrival window on the phone, not a promise we can't keep. We're based in Brevard County, so for most of the area it's a short drive. During a major storm event, response times stretch for everyone — call early rather than waiting to see if it dries on its own.

How long does drying take?

Most residential water losses dry in three to five days. It depends on how much water there was, what materials got wet, and how long it sat before we started. Hardwood, plaster, and concrete take considerably longer than drywall and carpet. We'll give you an estimate up front and update it daily based on actual readings.

Do I really need equipment running for days?

Yes, and this is where people get frustrated — the floor feels dry after a day, so the fans seem unnecessary. But the moisture that causes long-term problems is inside the drywall, the subfloor, and the framing. Meters tell us when it's actually dry. Pulling equipment early is the single most common reason a house needs to be dried twice.

Will my insurance cover this?

Sudden and accidental water damage — a pipe that bursts, a water heater that fails — is typically covered by homeowners policies. Long-term seepage, gradual leaks, and flooding from outside surface water usually are not, and flood damage generally requires separate flood insurance. We're not your carrier and can't approve a claim, but we can document the loss properly and tell you honestly what we're seeing.

Should I just rent a fan and do it myself?

For a small spill you caught immediately, sometimes yes. The problem is that box fans move air without removing moisture from it, so you can end up spreading humidity into rooms that were dry. If water got under flooring, into a wall cavity, or sat more than a few hours, get it measured before you decide. We'd rather tell you it's fine than see it again in six weeks as a mold job.

What do I do right now, before you arrive?

Shut off the water at the fixture or the main if you can do it safely. Stay out of standing water near outlets or electrical panels. Lift what you can off wet flooring, and put foil or blocks under furniture legs so stain doesn't transfer. Take photos of everything. Then leave the rest — that's what we're for.
